SILENT DEATH SYMPHONY BY SALT
When you look at the packaging of a product, its background will indicate all allergens, potential traces of allergens, carbohydrates, fats, proteins, but rarely and only recently the amount of salt. The problems with sugar intakes has been advised for years now because of the rise of diabetes, the damage caused by fat because of the rise in obesity, the allergens due to the incredible number of intolerances and food allergies, but salt is rarely talked about.
When it comes to harmful foods, it is always said that there are 4 “white deaths” and that is sugar, flour, fat and salt. But somehow these first three always dominate, whereas salt is least talked about and researched by ordinary people, until people start having health problems. High blood pressure and kidney problems are generally associated with salt damage.
To summarize salt as follows:
- Salt is composed of sodium and chloride
- There is no substance that can replace the taste of salt
- Salt substitutes that resemble the taste of salt always contain minimal amounts of salt
- Salt damages the kidneys, liver, urinary ducts, increases the risk of stroke, high blood pressure, collecting water in the body, widening of blood channels and so on.
Salt can be easily replaced with natural herbs and spices that can give a flavour to a meal without any catastrophic health effects.
